We’ll start with the bad news because it’s tailing off of 2020, so why not.
Book one, titled Curse of Shadows, has been edited and ready to go. My editor, whom I trust completely, has encouraged me to find an agent and have it published by the Big 5 (nickname for the major publishing houses in the US), as it were. She believes it’s marketable and well-written (this part I don’t believe) and I should give it a shot trying to get published.
So, what this means is I’m shopping the book around for an agent, and most times I’ll get a response within 8-9 weeks. I’ve received two rejections so far but will stick to persistence and wait until March to move forward with self-publishing. Either Curse of Shadows gets picked up or I’ll publish it myself, so either way, we’re going to see this happen. We just have to wait some more.
The good news is I commissioned an awesome artist I found on Twitch. His name is Kirk Shannon and I love his style. Lucky for me, and I didn’t know this at the time, he has stopped taking commissions starting January. Phew, that was close. Attached are the artist’s renditions of Coyle and Fang. I absolutely love them.
More good news is I’m in the midst of writing Book Two. I have four bags of whole bean coffee to get me through the process.
Lastly, if you know of any more artists who could do Coyle and Fang justice, please let me know!
